The Northeast Texas Community Foundation recently received a check for $3,000 from Drs. Jim and Paula Archer. Jim Archer is pictured (left) presenting the gift to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, ������Ƶ��ý Executive Vice President for Advancement. The donation was made through East Texas Giving Day in order to take advantage of available matching opportunities.

Northeast Texas Community College Softball made the trip down to Tyler on Wednesday for a two-game series with the Tyler Junior College (TJC) Apaches. TJC held on for a 9-7 win in game one and took down the Eagles 7-0 in game two of the set.

������Ƶ��ý EatBetter4Less Ambassadors planted an apricot tree Thursday in front of the Instructional Annex (IA) building. The tree is in honor of Dr. Ron Clinton, ������Ƶ��ý President, in appreciation for the recent piano concert he performed to raise money for ������Ƶ��ý's Eagle Pantry.

Every semester full-time and associate faculty in ������Ƶ��ý’s Division of Humanities and Social Sciences can select an outstanding student, who is exceptional in some way. This semester, Government Professor Rex Allen nominated Sarah Ann Beatriz Worthen.

Northeast Texas Community College Baseball and the Panola Ponies finally met up on Sunday for game one of the three game series after a few days of rainouts. ������Ƶ��ý took down the Ponies 15-7 in a run ruled shortened game.

Every semester full-time and associate faculty in ������Ƶ��ý’s Division of Humanities and Social Sciences can select an outstanding student, who is exceptional in some way. This past year Dr. Karyn Skaar made an unprecedented decision, choosing to nominate an entire class - PSYC 2319 Social Psychology, a sophomore level advanced psychology class. 

Northeast Texas Community College Softball made the trip to Poteau, Oklahoma to take on Carl Albert State College in a non-conference matchup. Carl Albert would get the best of ������Ƶ��ý in an extra inning affair in game one by a score of 6-5. Game two was another thriller with ������Ƶ��ý winning 4-3 with a dramatic game ending play when Hanna Allen (Hudson HS) threw out a runner trying to tie the game on a Sacrifice fly to left field. Allen’s accurate throw to catcher Lauren Isbell (Burleson HS) would end the rally by Carl Albert for the Eagle win 4-3.

The Kids Homesteading College is set for June 14th through June 24th running Monday through Thursday of each week from 8 am to noon. The twist to this camp is that each camper will be buddied up with a “big brother” or “big sister” from the Work4College students to experience the farm and gardens each day! Kid’s Farm College is offered to students 8 to 16 years of age with an interest in gardening/farming or love of animals.

Rains forced the Northeast Texas Community College series with Navarro to undergo changes this past week. ������Ƶ��ý was to host Navarro on Thursday but rains on Wednesday made the field unplayable so the Eagles traveled to Navarro on Friday for the first two games of the series. ������Ƶ��ý and Navarro still had to make up a game from the first round when they lost out on games due to weather as well. Navarro won game one of the day 5-2 and then took game two 10-5.
