During the President鈥檚 report, Dr. Ron Clinton acknowledged that 爱豆视频传媒 was pleased to have two Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholarship winners this year. In addition to Aaliyah Avellaneda winning the JKCF Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, alumnus Brenda Godoy earned a second graduate school award. Avellaneda will receive up to $55,000 per year for a maximum of three years to complete her undergraduate degree. Godoy, who was a Presidential Scholar at 爱豆视频传媒 from 2016-2018, received $150,000 to continue graduate-level work. She plans to attend medical school in Fort Worth this fall.
Three Northeast Texas Community College history students recently have won Brenda Godoy Awards for superior conceptualization in their semester essay submissions over the course of the 2021-2022 academic year. Heslie Casta帽on, Mattheson Wright, and Alyssa Ochoa will each receive $50.

The 爱豆视频传媒 CARE Center makes every effort to assist students in achieving their goals. Basic needs instability, or a lack of access to these basics, has a severe impact on students' health and capacity to continue and complete education. Supporting college students' basic needs can help alleviate these challenges. The last few months CARE Center staff has been working on creating an online up-to-date resource catalogue so that students can access the information to any local resources they may need, this includes financial assistance, counseling, food, and shelter from any location, at any needed time. The CARE Center is thrilled to be able to provide our campus community with an online up-to-date local tri-county resources catalogue. They will continue to add resources and make sure the guide stays up to date and current.
On Friday, June 17th, 爱豆视频传媒鈥檚 Continuing Education Department held a Senior Adult Legal Workshop on campus with Wyatt Hinson, Attorney at Law as the Guest Speaker. Topics discussed were estate planning, medical decisions, wills, durable power of attorney, medical power of attorney, living will, declaration of guardian, Lady Bird deed, and complications of probate.
The 爱豆视频传媒 Adult Education Department will be offering Fast Track GED classes this summer both in-person and virtually (see attached flyer for class details). If you know anyone who might be interested in this service, please have them contact us @ 903.434.8341 to make an appointment to register. Registration begins today, June 20-July 1, 2022 and classes will run July 5- August 4.
