Northeast Texas Community College is set to host the Region XIV North Baseball Tournament May 7–10 at Eagle Field, bringing four teams together for a multi-day, double-elimination style competition to determine the regional champion.
The will welcome , and to campus for the event, which opens Thursday, May 7, with first-round action beginning at 2 p.m. as Northeast Texas takes on Alvin. The second game of the day is scheduled for 6 p.m. between Wharton and Navarro.
Friday’s second-round action begins at 2 p.m. with the losers of Thursday’s games meeting in an elimination matchup, followed by a 6 p.m. contest featuring the winners from the opening round.
Saturday’s schedule continues with two more games at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., leading into Sunday’s championship round if necessary. The final game, if required, is set for 2 p.m. May 10 and will feature a rematch of Saturday’s final matchup.
Admission for the tournament is cashless. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for college students, $5 for senior citizens and $5 for children ages 10–18. Children under 10 will be admitted free.
The tournament brings several days of high-stakes baseball to campus as the teams compete for the Region 14 North title.
