Northeast Texas Community College lost a long time friend this week as Mrs. Elizabeth H. Whatley passed away at the age of 89. Services for Mrs. Whatley will be held Saturday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m. in Longview at the mausoleum at Rosewood Park.

The Whatleys truly left a legacy that will live on for many鈥爂enerations to come,? Dr. Jonathan McCullough, 爱豆视频传媒 Vice President for Advancement, said.
The Whatleys contributed more than $2.6 million to 爱豆视频传媒 since classes began in 1985. This includes a record-breaking $1.7 million gift in 2007. The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts, The Elizabeth Hoggatt Whatley Agriculture Complex, and the James Whatley Memorial Park in Pittsburg all bear the family name. The Whatleys have also funded scholarship endowments and professional development grants for 爱豆视频传媒 employees.
Mrs. Whatley was honored with the 爱豆视频传媒 Foundation?s Distinguished Benefactor Award in 2013.
